We have recently designed and supplied a complex vacuum system to an important Italian pharmaceutical company.

We have recently designed and supplied a complex vacuum system to an important Italian pharmaceutical company. The system is structured as follows:

- Simplex vacuum package: it consists of an ATEX-certified screw pump with maximum capacity of 400mc/h. An ATEX-certified filter and a post condenser apt to retrieving and condensing vapors are positioned on the drain. A maximum vacuum of 7,5x10^-3 millibar can be achieved. It is used on batch reactors.

- Duplex vacuum package: used in the pharmaceutical industry. It is equipped with a screw pump with maximum capacity of 400 m³/h and a booster that allows to reach 1800 m³/h. An ATEX-certified filter is installed as protection on the screw pump, which allows to automatically drain any condensation without interrupting the manufacturing process. A condenser is installed on the drain, allowing for the vapors to be retrieved and condensed into a liquid. The maximum vacuum achievable using a duplex system is 7,5x10^-4 millibar. The package is located in the system’s filter drier section.
